| Comments by Mark Everest Rating: 6 | I've been to Cabela's several times but this was my first stop at the Tamarack Cafe located inside of the massive store. My four year old son and I each ordered a venison brat and I also ordered the beef chili. I was hoping for venison or wild boar but the only other option was chicken and I wasn't about to do that. The chili was good. It had HUGE chunks of beef. I picked up one spoonful and the meat hung off on either side of the spoon looking like two conjoined golf balls. Or something. Of course I've come to expect the utter lack of heat that I was hoping for. I gave it a 6 because it really doesn't stand out from the pack for flavor but was chunkier than most. Plus, with the venison brat, it did make a darn good lunch. |
